John Elliott

John Elliott began his career 19 years ago in the sales department of Nordic Laboratories, one of the predecessor companies to sanofi-aventis. He has since taken on positions of increasing responsibility in sales, professional education, private healthcare, market access strategic planning, and external affairs before accepting his current position as Manager, Strategic Partnerships with sanofi-aventis. Through this diverse experience, Mr. Elliott has acquired broad knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, and health policy issues in both the public and private healthcare environments.

Mr. Elliott is a member of the Canadian Council on Integrated Healthcare, an independent health policy think tank, and has been closely involved with The sanofi-aventis Healthcare Survey since 1998. He serves on the Leadership Team of the Campaign to Control Cancer, which successfully lobbied for $260 million in federal funding for a pan-Canadian cancer strategy. Mr. Elliott is also on the executive of the Group Insurance Pharmaceutical Committee, which is a joint educational initiative of the pharmaceutical and group insurance industries.
